Literature Text

In yonder far
There's a silver lake
A lake which is never still
Across this lake there are many mountains
But to them you cannot reach
For this silver lake can take no mercy
And stretches on forever

Oh
There's a monster in the river
And he's falling into it
He's terrified
There is no light
Hear me ancient monster
Of the river by the moon
Take me across
To the mountains
And then
To home
Oh
Where is his knight
To come to the lake
This river that takes no boats
They reign on the edge
And can never come home
The ground
Is littered in gold

Hey!
Here comes his knight
Along the silver river
Shouting challenges and threats to below
Hey ho!
Hear him river monster
That who's caught his love
Drag to the surface
Covered in grime and mud
Face this knight in armor
Tear to blood and bone
Return to the depths of your lair
The ground is covered in gold

Oh
Monster who's taken the beloved
Of a knight returned from war
Who thought of peace and happiness
Not the cruel fate he bore
He went to the lake
To find the captive
With glittering armor he wore
He shouted for blood
And up from the mud
Came the monster and more

Oh
There's a monster in the river
And he's falling into it
He's terrified
There is no light
Hear me ancient monster
Of the river by the moon
Take me across
To the mountains
And then
To home
Oh
Where is his knight
To come to the lake
This river that takes no boats
They reign on the edge
And can never come home
The ground
Is littered in gold

The ground is splattered in gold
The ground is soaking up gold
The ground is the color of gold
Wet and putrid it is covered in gold
And what is gold to a monster?
Please tell me what you think my song means! Hehe.
